Marriage License

You will need to get a marriage license from the State of Hawaii prior to your wedding.

Obtaining a marriage license in Hawaii is very simple. You will need to meet with a licensing agent once you arrive in Hawaii. Once you book your wedding with us, we will set up an appointment with a Kauai agent who is closest to where you are staying and email you directions and instructions. There is no blood test required in the State of Hawaii and no paperwork must be sent in prior to your scheduled license appointment.

You both will need to appear before a marriage license agent with proper photo identification, such as a driver’s license or passport and $65.00 in cash. The marriage license application is a one page form that needs to be completed by both the bride and groom. The license agent will complete the form with you and issue you a marriage license. The marriage license is good for 30 days in the State of Hawaii and you can get on any island to be used throughout the state.
